Big Telly Theatre Company’Äôs smash hit stage production of Spike Milligan’Äôs Puckoon completed its second sell-out all-Ireland tour in 2011 before running at Leicester Square Theatre in London’Äôs West End. The show had audiences screaming with laughter at its Goonish blend of theatrical anarchy, musical wit, and impossible plot! Big Telly is Northern Ireland’Äôs longest-established independent theatre producer (’Äúin a league of their own under truly innovative director Zoˆ´ Seaton’Äù, Ulster Tatler) and the company worked closely with Spike’Äôs own Spike Milligan Productions to create and present the world premiere of this unique theatrical event which combines comedy, lunacy, and original music and songs. Spike Milligan’Äôs Puckoon tells the hilarious story of what happens to a rural community in Ireland when the Ulster Boundary Commission decides that the Irish border will go straight through the middle of their town. With the church separated from its own graveyard and drink now thirty percent cheaper in one corner of the pub, life in the newly divided village will never be the same again.
